Central Line Placement

Central Venous Catheter Insertion is an essential procedure that is commonly required in the Emergency Department and throughout the hospital.  The Central Line can be placed in the Jugular, Subclavian or Femoral Veins.  Ultrasound guidance is preferred but not required for line insertion.  Indications include venous access, CVP monitoring and use of caustic or dangerous medications such as vasopressors.  The videos will go over the set up of the line, set of 3D printed training model, draping and line insertion.  The standard insertion follows a modified Seldinger technique.  Attached is a downloadable STL file to print your own trainer and Powerpoint.
